Moindre mouvement
En avril 2018, nous avons été invités par l’Université Grenoble-Alpes à participer à un workshop autour des
objets connectés et notamment des capteurs de smartphones à l’ENSCI à Paris.
Au cours de cette semaine, j’ai
travaillé en groupe avec Romain Guillo et Simon Mercier pour réfléchir à des espaces connectés dont la lumière
et le son varieraient selon les actions, déplacements et positions des personnes présentes dans la pièce. Nous
avons utilisé des capteurs Movuino, composés d’un accéléromètre, d’un magnétomètre et d’un gyroscope, afin
d’extraire les données brutes d’un mouvement. En travaillant avec l’équipe de l’IRCAM, nous avons utilisé ces
données afin que leur mouvement fasse également varier la lumière et le son d’un espace, et avons réalisé une
performance participative.

Slightest extent
In April 2018, our class was invited by the Grenoble University to participate in a workshop on connected
objects (mostly smartphones and their sensors) at the ENSCI in Paris. During this week, I worked with Romain
Guillo and Simon Mercier to reflect on connected spaces in which sounds and lights would change according to the
movements and actions of those in the room.
For this, we used the Movuino sensors (accelerometer,
magnetometer, gyroscope), so as to extract raw data from movements. With help from the IRCAM, we then used this
data to modify sounds and lights in the room, during a collaborative performance.
